Deborah Johnson

Family Solicitor

Deborah was admitted as a solicitor in 2004, and has exclusively practised in family law since 2004 before joining Chapman Pieri in February 2020. She is also a family mediator.

Deborah specialises in matrimonial financial disputes including matters involving third parties, overseas divorce, overseas assets and pensions. She trained as a solicitor in Central London where she continued to practice before moving to Chapman Pieri.

Deborah has a particular expertise in complex children disputes and she also continues to deal with the whole spectrum of family law including those with an international element, injunctions, wardship, appeals and matters where there is a criminal law and/or social services element.

Deborah’s clients are private individuals. She equally acts for husbands, wives, mothers, fathers and grandparents.

Deborah is also a family lawyer mediator. Mediation is a process for couples who have decided to separate or divorce to help them reach their own decisions about future arrangements including the way children are cared for in the family and/or how finances are organised for the future. Deborah therefore specialises in non-adversarial cost effective approaches to divorce and separation including mediation and arbitration.

As a Resolution specialist, Deborah works her hardest to try to ensure that her clients stay out of the Family Court.
