Who We Are

Christina Pieri

Christina Pieri

Director

Christina is a very experienced and highly regarded lawyer who has worked in legal practice both in the UK and abroad. She first qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives whilst working at Vanderpump and Sykes Solicitors, Enfield. She then went off to law school and qualified as a solicitor. Christina set up and ran the family department of a North London firm, moved on to become the head of the children's and family department at a city law firm before setting up Chapman Pieri Solicitors with Karen Chapman.

Christina is an expert in her field and has gained the Resolution Accredited Specialist status in complex financial provision and children's law matters. She adopts a firm but fair approach to cases and strives to solve matters in a non-confrontational manner but will not hesitate to change tack if the need arises. She is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients and provides a highly personal tailored service to meet the individual requirements of each case. She is noted for her excellent client care, solid legal advice and her personal yet professional approach.

Children's Matters Christina has a particular interest in dealing with arrangements for children upon separation/divorce and has built up quite a following through personal recommendations. She is acutely aware of how important it is for parties to focus on the children's best interests rather than their own and acts for as many fathers as she does mothers.

Route to qualification Not one to follow tradition, Christina began working as a legal assistant in 1995 and took the long, but not always scenic route of studying whilst working full time and juggling the care of her then two young children. Fortunately, the late nights through to the early mornings, hard work and dedication paid off after 10 longs years!

Why Family Law? Christina has worked exclusively in family law for over 17 years. She quickly understood the stresses and difficulties many experience going through the process of divorce (having gone through the process herself). Her empathic and pragmatic approach is valued by clients with whom she develops both trust and a great rapport.

Not Afraid to Challenge Authority Christina launched a successful appeal against the local education authority to move her daughter to a different primary school when she encountered bullying. When her daughter was not offered any secondary school place at all and told that she could be taught at a local library, Christina found herself before the appeal’s panel once more, fortunately the story has a happy ending following a successful challenge to secure her daughter a place at a local secondary school where she flourished.

On a Personal Note There is never a dull moment in Christina’s household. She has a son in sixth form and a daughter who has boomeranged back from university with a teaching degree but now working at for Chapman Pieri. Christina also has step children (twin boy and girl), one working as a sports journalist and the other working in a local school having just attained her degree. Christina also has a 28 year old special needs nephew whom she idolises and spoils rotten! Her nephew has her safely placed in the palm of his hand where he has her jumping over hoops especially when it comes to taking him to tribute Elvis shows. Christina likes travelling especially to Valencia and Las Vegas (although not a gambler but rather a lover of buffets!). When at family functions, it’s difficult to persuade Christina and her husband to move off the dance floor (she will dance to any music!) even when everyone has their coats on and waiting at the door ready to leave.

"Thank you so much for everything. You have helped make an awful situation bearable. I felt your support, kindness and professionalism throughout. For all this I will be eternally grateful".

"Thank you so much for all that you have done for me over the last almost 3 years. Your constant support and reassurance made this horrible process so much more bearable. I really do not know how I would have coped without the knowledge that you were firmly behind me. You really have gone beyond anything I could have hoped my solicitor would. I am thrilled that I have a result that will now enable me and my children to move forward with out lives for which I am extremely grateful to you."
K.C. of Herts
"Christina has provided me with an excellent and efficient service, whilst at the same time offering me the support and understanding that I needed. She helped me achieve an excellent result, which saved me unnecessary legal costs. Christina has a quiet confidence and calm presence and I can't thank her enough. I would without hesitation highly recommend her for specialist family law advice."
